It's been revealed this week that "Judi Dench urged BBC to end ‘credit squeezing’ five years ago" (http://www.thestage.co.uk/news/2013/01/judi-dench-urged-bbc-to-end-credit-squeezing-five-years-ago/)
If you don't know what credit squeezing is it's where the credits are pushed up, down or sideways to make way for a trailer or preview of the next show whilst a voiceover covers up the music.
Now in the grand scheme of things this is not a terrible crime. There are worse things going on in the world but it's something that I think the vast, vast majority of people are wanting to get rid of, especially if the Points of View mailbag is something to be believed.
How many times have you wondered who an actor is and wait until the end only to have the name obscured by information on 'Splash' or whatever (yes, it's not just the BBC that does it). Yes, in this day of smart phones, it's easier to find out people but not everyone has an IMDB page and, besides, it's disrespectful to all the non-actors who work hard on creating the programmes.
Get it sorted BBC!
